TOURNAMENT RULES, REGULATIONS AND CONDITIONS
Format of Play: Fourball Better Ball (4BBB) Stableford Scoring in accordance with the rules of golf as laid down by the R&A of St Andrews and Rule 6.2a. together with any local rules approved by participating club competition committees i.e., club count back procedure. The winning Pairs will be the Pairs as determined by the Club Competition Committee.
Divisions: Playing Pair will consist of 2 players who may select either Open, Ladies or Mixed Pairs divisions.
Rules and Regulations:
All playing Pairs must have a registered official handicap to be eligible to participate in the tournament.
The tournament is open to all residents of Singapore 18 years or older at the time of the event and have an official handicap index.
Full player details must be provided upon registration and it is the golfer’s responsibility to ensure their details are true and correct. E.g; Full Name / Handicap Index / Valid Mobile / Valid Email address.
Payment of Registration fees must be paid in full upon registration and checking out.
Conditions:
Players are allowed to change partners if his or her playing partner cannot make the event for reasons of health, bereavement, business or any other extenuating circumstances.
Players who wish to pull out due to any of the above reasons must do so in writing to the organiser or Tournament Director (email: singapore@internationalpairsgolf.com) at least one week prior to the event, together with an official letter of absence such as a valid medical certificate or doctor’s letter or proof of work trip, and full details of the replacement player. No other changes will be entertained.
Any disputes during tournament play shall be settled by the relevant Club Competition Committee, whose decision shall be final.
Payment of competition entry fees must be received by the Tournament Organisers prior to the commencement of the event.
Handicapping:
All players must be in good standing at their Club.
All players must have a current official handicap index.
Players shall use their handicap index according to the handicapping system in operation, as implemented by the WHS or country handicapping body, I.e. the SGA CHS.
Furthermore, each player will play off their latest handicap on the day.
The maximum handicap for men is 24 and 36 for women.
Full disclosure of rules, regulations and conditions will be sent to players who have confirmed their participation prior to the event date.
